Please provide details of leave you are taking from your Home Care Package
Why it matters:
On certain occasions, clients may require a temporary leave from their Home Care Package. Such leave does not impact their eligibility to receive home care services upon their return.
Leave may be required for reasons like:
- A hospital stay.
- Transition care following a hospital stay.
- To receive residential respite care.
- Social leave.
The government may continue to provide the Home Care subsidy to the client’s budget during their leave, depending on the reason for the leave and the amount of leave already taken within the financial year.
However, if the client is currently paying an Income Tested Care Fee, they may be required to continue making contributions during this period.
It is crucial to promptly notify National Care Centre when making plans to take leave, such as entering temporary respite care or in the event of a need for leave, such as being admitted to the hospital.
